Role Overview
The Head of IT will take responsibility for the company's overall IT organisation and work closely with executive management to develop and implement its technology strategy.
The company is focusing on modernising its technology environment, introducing a new Learning Experience Platform (LXP), building a scalable and automated architecture, and expanding the practical use of artificial intelligence across its operations.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Strategy and Leadership
Develop and execute the company's IT and digital strategy.
Align technology investments with wider business objectives.
Lead multiple IT teams and develop their respective team leaders.
Establish effective IT governance and enterprise architecture.
Drive organisational efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Technology Platforms and Infrastructure
Oversee the architecture and operation of the company's technology landscape.
Improve system scalability, stability and performance.
Reduce technical complexity and operational costs.
Develop an integrated and efficient enterprise technology environment.
- AI and Automation
Identify opportunities to introduce AI into business operations.
Lead the development of infrastructure supporting AI initiatives.
Establish AI governance and implementation standards.
Introduce production-ready AI solutions.
Automate administrative and operational processes.
- Digital Platforms and Applications
Oversee the selection and implementation of a new Learning Experience Platform.
Manage enterprise SaaS applications.
Maintain and improve the company's website as a central sales channel.
Oversee integrations between the website, HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
Ensure effective platform performance and data integration.
- Financial and Vendor Management
Take responsibility for the IT budget.
Manage technology investments and external providers.
Evaluate software licensing and vendor contracts.
Make strategic technology investment decisions.
Assess total cost of ownership and operational efficiency.
- Security, Compliance and Governance
Maintain information security standards.
Ensure GDPR and data protection compliance.
Establish appropriate controls for sensitive customer information.
Oversee IT risk management and governance.
Candidate Requirements
Several years of senior IT management experience.
Proven experience leading multiple teams and developing team leaders.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and IT strategy.
Practical experience implementing AI solutions in production.
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, ideally Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
Experience with ITSM, infrastructure and service management.
Strong understanding of information security and GDPR.
Experience managing SaaS platforms, vendors and technology budgets.
Familiarity with HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and digital platforms.
Fluent German and English.
