Position: Regional Director, Cecconi’s & Public Restaurants UK & Europe
Organization: Soho House & Co.
Location: London, United Kingdom
Department: Food & Beverage Management
Employment: Full-time, permanent
Regional Coverage: United Kingdom and Europe

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

Soho House & Co. is an international hospitality organization known for its private members' clubs, restaurants, hotels and lifestyle experiences.

Founded in London in 1995, the organization has developed an international presence, with hospitality concepts built around distinctive environments, premium dining, customer experience and high service standards.

Its restaurant portfolio includes established brands such as Cecconi's, Dean Street Townhouse and Café Boheme.

The organization places considerable emphasis on maintaining individual restaurant identities while delivering consistent operational standards, commercial performance and memorable guest experiencesABOUT THE ROLE

The Regional Director is a senior leadership position responsible for the overall performance, strategic development and long-term growth of Soho House's public restaurant portfolio across the UK and Europe.

This is broader than managing an individual hotel or food and beverage department. The position involves overseeing multiple restaurant operations, working with senior management teams, strengthening commercial performance and ensuring that each restaurant maintains its identity and operational standards.

The portfolio includes:

Dean Street Townhouse

Redchurch Townhouse

Kettner's

Café Boheme

Cecconi's Mayfair

Cecconi's Bicester

The position also involves supporting other regional restaurant operations, including Cecconi's Brighton, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Rome, Berlin and Copenhagen, alongside other concepts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide strategic and operational leadership across the public restaurant portfolio throughout the UK and Europe.

Oversee operational performance, service standards and commercial results across multiple locations.

Work closely with General Managers and senior restaurant leaders to improve leadership effectiveness and accountability.

Monitor revenue, profitability, labour costs, operating expenses and overall financial performance.

Identify operational weaknesses, commercial opportunities and areas for business improvement.

Develop and implement strategies that strengthen restaurant performance and long-term business growth.

Maintain the identity and standards of individual restaurant brands while ensuring consistency across the wider portfolio.

Support new restaurant openings, refurbishments, concept development and business expansion.

Work with senior management and central departments, including Finance, Marketing, People & Development, Learning & Development, Food & Beverage and Design.

Develop succession plans and strengthen the leadership pipeline across the restaurant portfolio.

Conduct regular site visits and business performance reviews.

Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, allergy procedures and applicable local regulations.

Represent the public restaurant portfolio in senior-level business discussions and strategic planning.

LEADERSHIP EXPECTATIONS

The organization is looking for an experienced hospitality leader who can operate at both strategic and operational levels.

The successful individual will be expected to demonstrate:

Strong leadership experience in premium, luxury or high-volume hospitality environments.

The ability to lead multiple locations and influence senior management teams.

Commercial awareness and financial decision-making capabilities.

Experience improving operational performance and profitability.

The ability to develop and mentor General Managers and senior operational leaders.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Experience translating business strategy into measurable operational results.

The ability to balance guest experience, brand identity, team development and commercial objectives.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

The advertised position specifies:

15+ years of senior leadership experience in hospitality, restaurants, lifestyle or luxury businesses.

Proven experience managing multi-site and multi-market operations at a senior regional or equivalent level.

Strong financial and commercial management experience.

Deep knowledge of restaurant and Food & Beverage operations.

Experience leading and developing senior General Managers and operational teams.

Experience working within complex international organizations.

Strong strategic planning, business development and operational execution capabilities.

Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the UK and Europe.

LOCATION AND WORK ARRANGEMENT

The position is based in London, which is geographically aligned with your current professional location.

However, the responsibilities extend across the UK and Europe, so regular travel between restaurant locations and regional operations is expected.

The official advertisement does not specify a fixed hybrid or remote-working arrangement. The precise office and site-based expectations should be confirmed with the employer.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The advertised employee benefits include:

Weekly pay.

Team meals during shifts.

Clothing allowance.

Soho House membership.

50% discount on food and drinks.

Staff accommodation rates at participating properties.

Private healthcare and dental care.

Life assurance.

Birthday leave.

Staff discounts on Cowshed and Soho Home.

Two paid charity-support days annually.

Counselling sessions.

Professional development and continuous training.

Internal team events and development programmes.

THE BROADER STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE OF THE ROLE

What makes this position particularly interesting is its regional scope.

Rather than concentrating on the performance of a single hotel or restaurant department, the successful candidate will help shape the direction of an international restaurant portfolio.

The priorities include improving profitability, strengthening senior leadership teams, developing existing restaurant concepts, maintaining brand distinction, supporting expansion and ensuring consistent hospitality standards across different markets.

It is therefore a substantial leadership opportunity with responsibility extending beyond day-to-day Food & Beverage operations.
